Vientiane, Lao PDR – IPL and the Luxembourg Development Agency (LuxDev) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the field of vaccine-preventable diseases.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Paul Brey, Director of Institut Pasteur du Laos, and Mr. Peter Heimann, Chief Technical Advisor of the Luxembourg Development Agency.
The partnership supports collaborative activities in research, surveillance, diagnostics, training, and capacity building related to vaccine-preventable diseases in Laos. Through this cooperation, both institutions aim to contribute to strengthening public health systems and improving the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
The Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has been a longstanding supporter of Institut Pasteur du Laos and has played an important role in the development of scientific and public health capacities within the institution.
This MoU reaffirms the shared commitment of IPL and Luxembourg partners to advancing research, strengthening laboratory expertise, and supporting evidence-based public health interventions in Laos.
