Vientiane Capital, 6ᵗʰ February 2026 – Three staff members from IPL participated in the Equitable Research Partnership: Initiative in Providing International Research Management Skill Sets in South East Asia (EQUIPSEA) training programme, held from 3 to 6 February 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Hosted by the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU), the training forms part of a 12-month capacity-strengthening initiative funded by the British Academy. The programme aims to enhance research management and financial administration capacities within research institutions across Southeast Asia.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in workshops, mentoring sessions, and peer-learning activities focused on strengthening research management practices, leadership skills, institutional administration, and regional collaboration. The programme also provided opportunities to exchange experiences with research professionals from across the region and explore approaches to building more equitable and sustainable research partnerships.

Participation in the EQUIPSEA programme reflects IPL’s ongoing commitment to strengthening institutional capacities and supporting professional development in research administration, which plays a critical role in enabling high-quality scientific research and international collaboration.

IPL extends its appreciation to the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit and the EQUIPSEA team for their support in delivering this important capacity-building initiative.
