Post-release assessment of Wolbachia establishment and dengue virus circulation in field mosquito populations in Vientiane, Lao PDR

For the 3rd consecutive year, the Fondation Institut Pasteur du Laos has awarded a research grant (Young Researcher Grant Award) to encourage a young Lao scientist to develop, coordinate and execute an innovative research project. The selection committee of the “Young Researcher Grant Challenge 2025″ met on 30th of July 2025 to examine the applications received. The committee decided to support, for a total amount of 40,000€, the project prepared by Dr. Tiger Soulaphy, from the Medical Entomology laboratory of Institut Pasteur du Laos, entitled: “Post-release assessment of Wolbachia establishment and dengue virus circulation in field mosquito populations in Vientiane, Lao PDR”.
